Randomly inserted into packs of ''1961 Topps Baseball'' were 36 "Magic Rub-Offs." Each Rub-Off (a temporary tattoo) measures 2 1/16" by 3 1/16". Half the set are team logos, while the other half depict players (one from each team).

Randomly inserted into packs were 208 different stamps. The set is actually comprised of 208 stamps: 104 players are pictured on brown stamps and 104 players appear on green stamps, with Al Kaline found in both colors. The stamps were issued in attached pairs and an album was sold separately (10 cents) at retail outlets. Each stamp measures 1 3/8" by 1 3/16"

Description
1961 Topps is a 587-card set released in seven series. '61 Topps was the first set to include the now ubiquitous All-Rookie Team trophy icon, as well as a League Leaders subset. This was also the first Topps set to include checklists.
With the relocation of the original Washington Senators to Bloomington, Minnesota, and the American League's expansion to Los Angeles and Washington D.C., the L.A. Angels and Minnesota Twins made their Topps debuts. Players on the Twins, Angels and Senators are, at least in the early series, depicted in tightly-cropped photos that conceal their old team's uniforms. The Angels and (expansion) Senators do not appear at all until Series Two.
Series Seven (cards #523-#589) is believed to be the scarcest "high number" series Topps would release.
Prominent rookie cards include Billy Williams, Juan Marichal, and Ron Santo.
