Description

1999 Topps Opening Day is a 165-card partial-parallel version of the 1999 Topps flagship set. As the cards are a de facto parallel, the only distinguishing features being the silver borders, the Opening Day foil logo on front, and the different sequential numbering on back.

Distribution

Retail Only:

Retail boxes: 24 packs per box, 7 cards a pack

Blasters: 22 packs per box, 7 cards per pack and one Oversized card

Randomly inserted into packs were Slam Derby sweepstakes cards. If a grand slam was hit in a Major League game on the date listed on the card, it could be entered into a contest where the grand prize is a trip for two to the 1999 All-Star Game.
