Stamps were inserted into mid-series Topps five-cent packs. They came in two-stamp "panels" with a small additional strip which contained advertising for an album -- sold separately for ten cents. Each stamp measures 1 3/8" by 1 7/8", with one panel inserted into specially-marked packs. Each of the twenty MLB teams is represented by nine players and a team logo, for a total of 200 stamps. The stamps are not sequentially-numbered, but the checklist below is ordered by team.
An error stamp of Roy Sievers depicted as a Kansas City Athletic is rare.

Description
1962 Topps is a 598-card set released in seven series. '62 Topps contains a mini-series spotlighting Babe Ruth (135-144). Other subsets in the set include League Leaders (51-60), World Series (232-237), In-Action (311-319), NL All-Stars (390-399), AL All-Stars (466-475), and Rookie Prospects (591-598). The All-Star selections were again provided by Sport Magazine, as in 1958 and 1960.
'62 Topps marked the debut of the New York Mets and Houston Colt .45s (referred to as "Colts").
This was the first year Topps produced multi-player rookie cards. Key rookies in this set include: Lou Brock, Tim McCarver, Gaylord Perry, and Bob Uecker.
With its wood borders, '62 Topps was one of the more notable designs of the era; a design Topps would pay tribute to twenty-five year's later in 1987.

Parallels
Venezuelan
Topps produced a 198-card version of their base set for the Venezuelan market. The reverse of each card is printed in Spanish. The first 196 cards of the Venezuelan set directly parallel the Topps set. Cards #197 and #198 do not exist and were replaced by Venezuela natives Elio Chacon and Luis Aparicio as cards #199 and #200.
- 199 Elio Chacon
- 200 Luis Aparicio
Green Tint
All 88 Series Two cards have two distinct printings which are distinguishable by numerous color and pose variations. Those cards with a distinctive "green tint" are valued at a slight premium as they are basically the result of a flawed printing process occurring early in the second series run.
Inserts
Stamps
Stamps were inserted into mid-series Topps five-cent packs. They came in two-stamp "panels" with a small additional strip which contained advertising for an album -- sold separately for ten cents. Each stamp measures 1 3/8" by 1 7/8", with one panel inserted into specially-marked packs. Each of the twenty MLB teams is represented by nine players and a team logo, for a total of 200 stamps. The stamps are not sequentially-numbered, but the checklist below is ordered by team.
An error stamp of Roy Sievers depicted as a Kansas City Athletic is rare.
