Set of the Month

1993 Donruss McDonald's Blue Jays is a 36-card set distributed at McDonald's restaurants in the Greater Toronto Area. Unlike the previous year's set, only Toronto Blue Jays players are included.

The design of the cards is identical to that of the 1993 Donruss set, but without borders and with the addition of a McDonald's logo on the front.

2023 Topps Pristine is a 300-card released August 23th. Each ten-card pack has three mini packs. One mini pack will contain seven base cards/Refractors, the second will have either two inserts or an Autographed Relic, while the third will yield an encased card.

2022 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary is a 500-card set, released August 9th, 2023. All cards are on chrome stock and are done in the style of the 1953 Topps set.

Each 24-pack Hobby box will yield one autograph and seven Refractors.

2023 Topps Chrome was released July 26th. Each Hobby box will yield one autograph (one less than the previous year's product,)) eight inserts and 12 Refractors while each Jumbo box will have three autos -- two fewer than last year -- and twelve Refractors.

2023 Panini Prizm is a 300-card set released July 21st.. Each 12-card Hobby pack will contain an insert and one Prizm parallel. Every fourth Hobby pack will yield an autograph.

2023 Topps Tribute was released July 12th. As usual, each three-card pack will include either an autograph or a Relic with half of packs yielding a Relic and half either an autograph or an autographed Relic. Two of the Relics in each Hobby box will be multi-swatch.

2023 Finest is a 125-card set released by Topps on July 7th. Each box will yield two autographs.

2023 Panini Three & Two is a 113-card set released June 16th. Each five-card box will contain the following:

  • Three base, parallel, or insert cards
  • One encased game-used memorabilia card.
  • One encased autograph or autographed game-used memorabilia card.

As Panini no longer has a MLBPA license, all cards are of retired players or Minor Leaguers.

2023 Donruss is a 290-card set released by Panini America on June 2nd. Each Hobby box will yield two autographs and a game-used card.

This is the first Donruss set after Panini America's license with the MLBPA expired, and as such, features no active MLB players.

2023 Topps Heritage is a 500-card set released May 24th. In keeping with the brand's aesthetic, the design is based on the 1974 Topps set. Each Hobby box will, as usual, yield a relic, an autograph or an autographed relic.

2023 Topps Sterling was released May 24th. Each two-card box contains two autographed game-used cards serial-numbered to 25 copies or less with every fourth box yielding a one-of-one.

We estimate that 450 cases were produced, a slight decrease from the previous year's product.

2023 Bowman is a 100-card set, supplemented by a 150-card Prospects set, released April 26th. Each Hobby box will yield one autograph and 18 inserts. Hobby Jumbo boxes will contain three autographs and 12 inserts.

2022 Topps Dynasty was released April 12th, 2023. As usual, each box will contain an encased autographed patch card serial-numbered to ten or fewer.

2022 Stadium Club Chrome was released April 5th, 2023. As with the previous year's product, the first 300 cards are a full parallel of the 2022 Stadium Club base set, with an extra 100 cards tacked-on and exclusive to the Chrome product.

Each fourteen-pack Hobby box will yield ten inserts, four Refractor parallels, and one autograph.

2023 Topps Big League is a 310-card set released March 31st. This is the return of the Big League brand after a one-year absence, and with it a drastic makeover. The base set is tiered into five levels, with the scarcest ten-card Legendary tier packed out as case hits.

As part of Big League's makeover, it is replacing Opening Day as Topps' sub-base brand.

Each eight-card pack will yield one tiered base card and an insert.

2022 Topps Gold Label is a 300-card set released in March 15th, 2023 -- five months behind schedule. As with the Gold Label sets of the late-90s, the set features 100 different players on three different "Class" cards: 1, 2, and 3. Unfortunately, the holo-foil plastic cardstock the brand was known for in the 90s was not used -- regular paper stock was used instead.

Each box will yield one Framed Autograph.

After a seven-year run, this will be the final Gold Label product.

2022 Bowman's Best was released March 8th, 2023 and consists of a 70-card base set supplemented by a 30-card Prospects set. Each pack will yield one Refractor parallel, and each 12-pack Hobby box will have four autographs, six inserts, and an Atomic Refractor.
