1993 Donruss Elite Dominators

Description

1993 Donruss Elite Dominators was a 20-card insert set that was separate from, but supplemental to, the 1993 Donruss set, offered exclusively for sale on the Shop at Home television network.

In a series of programs broadcast during December 8th - 13th, 1993, viewers were offered the opportunity to purchase a factory-sealed box of either 1993 Donruss Series One or Series Two that came with one Elite Dominator insert card placed in an envelope and shrink-wrapped directly to the box. Each box of 1993 Donruss retailed for $99 plus $6 for postage and handling. Shop at Home also offered a box of without the Elite Dominator card for only $89. (What a deal, huh?)

5000 serial-numbered sets were produced and half (2500) of the Nolan Ryan, Juan Gonzalez, Paul Molitor, and Don Mattingly cards were autographed by the player. The entire print run of 100,000 Elite Dominator cards were reportedly purchased by Shop at Home. Excess inventory was offered for sale periodically by the network.

One Elite Dominator plus one 1993 Donruss Series One or Two box (SRP: $99). Exclusive through the Shop at Home Network.

Checklist

Each card is serial-numbered to 5000 copies. For the four players that signed for this set (see below), the first 2500 copies were autographed, while the remaining 2500 were not.
