2001 Upper Deck Pinstripe Exclusives

Description

2001 Upper Deck Pinstripe Exclusives are a pair of 56-card sets that were inserted into Hobby boxes of most 2001 Upper Deck baseball products. There was one 56-card set dedicated to Mickey Mantle and another to Joe DiMaggio -- both player's exclusive rights had been acquired by Upper Deck.

Each Hobby box contained a three-card pack from either set with game-used and cut signature cards randomly inserted.

Autographs & Game-Used

DiMaggio Kit Young Game Bat

These cards were passed out to attendees of the 2001 Kit Young Hawaii Trade Conference on Tuesday, February 27th (during day one of the popular Meet the Industry session). The basic card features a piece of bat in the shape of the classic NY logo that was used by Joe DiMaggio in an official Major League Baseball game. Each pack also contained a special card explaining Upper Deck's 2001 Pinstripe Exclusive Promotion.

Each card is serial-numbered to 450 copies. Five lucky attendees got one of the rare cut autograph cards.
