2010 Tristar Obak NSCC VIP

Description

This ten-card set was available exclusively at the 2010 National Sports Collectors Convention in Baltimore. Those purchasing a five-day VIP package would receive a pack of five cards from the set, plus the checklist. To obtain the remaining five cards, collectors would have to open a pack of 2010 Tristar baseball or 2010 Tristar TNA Wrestling cards at Tristar's NSCC booth. Collectors would receive one card for each pack opened.

Base Set

NOTE: There are two different versions of card #1: One with a picture of Washington's Nationals Park on the back and the other of Montreal's Stade Olympique. For licensing purposes (i.e. Tristar didn't have a license with Strasburg), all cards of Stephen Strasburg feature a pencil sketch instead of a photo.

Mini Set

A special 29-card mini set was also available. The first ten cards (including both Strasburg's) parallel the standard VIP set; while cards #N11-#N28 are exclusive to this Mini set. In addition, cards #N11-#N28 have two versions, the only difference being the slogan on the back. 199 copies of each card were produced.

It's unclear exactly how these Mini cards were distributed. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
