Description
2001 Fleer Authority is a 150-card set released exclusively to Hobby outlets in December, 2001. The product is known for being one of the first (along with 2001 Topps Reserve) to include pre-graded rookie cards.
The last 50-cards in the base set consist of a Prospects subset with each Prospect serial-numbered to 2001 copies. Approximately 80% of the production run of each Prospects card were NOT inserted into packs. Instead, they were submitted by Fleer to Beckett Grading Services (BGS). Each 20-pack Hobby box contained two individually wrapped pre-graded Prospects cards, each graded no lower than "BGS 8" (NM-MT).
