Description

1987 Classic is a 100-card set that was distributed as part of a trivia board game. The card backs contain several trivia questions (and answers) which are used to play the game. The games/sets were produced by Game Time, Ltd. of Alabama and were available in toy stores as well as from card dealers.

According to the producers of this game, only 75,000 sets were distributed. The set features Bo Jackson, Wally Joyner, and Barry Larkin in their Rookie Card year. Although the set is officially licensed by MLB/MLBPA, due to the unusual distribution method, none of the cards are considered "true" rookies.
