Mickey Mantle Collection
The 2021 Topps X Mickey Mantle Collection is a 52-card set released exclusively to topps.com on October 20th. The set consists of reprints of all 38 of Mantle's Topps and Bowman cards issued from 1951-1969 (many of which were previously reprinted in 1996 and 1997 Topps), three "cards that never were" from the time Mantle was exclusive to Bowman (a concept Topps already did ten years earlier), and nine cards done in the style of the Topps flagship set from 2013 to the present. (From 2007 to 2012, Mantle was included as card #7 in that year's Topps base set. After 2012, Topps lost Mantle's image rights, which they regained in 2021.) The last two cards are checklists, and are short-printed.
Every fifth pack will yield a parallel serial-numbered to 199 copies or fewer. Autographs of past Yankee greats and Mickey Mantle cut autographs (all limited to seven copies, each) are randomly inserted.
We estimate that 156,500 packs were produced.
