2022 Topps X is a series of separate sets "curated" (Topps' words, not ours) by a selected player/fixture. All eight sets were exclusive to topps.com.

Spotlight 70 II Featuring Andy Friedman

Topps x Spotlight 70 II featuring Andy Friedman is a 70-card set of original watercolor renditions of classic Topps cards and is a continuation of the previous year's set. Packs of nine cards ($19.99 each, one fewer card than last year) were available for a four week period beginning March 25th. Each pack contains seven base cards, one insert, and either a parallel, Short Print, or autograph.

Topps X MLB Players Exclusive

2022 Topps X MLB Players Exclusive is a 50-card set. Unlike other "Topps X"-branded products, this was not exclusive to topps.com; rather, these were distributed exclusively at MLB team stores. Beginning the week of June 18th, collectors would receive one, six-card pack for each purchase of $149 worth of MLB Players-licensed products.

The design is identical to that of the 2022 Topps set, but with black borders. An "MLB Players Exclusive" logo is on the front of each card for further identification.

It should be noted that not all MLB team stores participated in this promotion.
