1966 Topps
Description
1966 Topps is a 598-card set released in seven series. Cards from Series Seven (#523-#598) are, as usual, tougher to find and among that series, with 43 cards in the series being even tougher to find as they are short-printed.
The set contains RCs of Hall of Fame pitchers Jim Palmer, Fergie Jenkins, and Don Sutton; as well as the final cards of Sandy Koufax and Robin Roberts.
Distribution
Wax: 36 packs per box, five cards plus one stick of gum per pack (MSRP: $0.05). 12 boxes per case.
Cello: 36 packs per box, 12 cards plus one stick of gum per pack (MSRP: $0.10). 12 boxes per case.
Rack: 48 packs per box, three Cello packs per rack (MSRP: $0.29).
Christmas Racks
For a time in the 1960s, a third-party produced "Christmas" rack packs for mass-market retail outlets. Christmas racks look like a Topps rack pack, but have a "gift tag" label. While the cards inside a Christmas rack are legitimate, many of the cards inside were in less-than-stellar condition -- probably due to being clumsily handled.

One Rub-Off insert was included in each wax pack. The image could be to be transferred by placing it on a flat surface and "rubbing off" the card with a coin.
The set is not sequentially-numbered.
