1993 Select

From BaseballCardPedia.com

Description

1993 Select is a 405-card, single-series, set produced by Pinnacle Brands. Seeking a niche in the premium, mid-price market, Select was marketed as a set that wasn't quite as "premium" as Pinnacle, and was quite as "base" as Score. '93 Select was released in December 1992 and was buttressed by an extravagant marketing campaign that included a series of TV commercials that aired during ESPN's coverage of the 1992 MLB Expansion Draft.

Subset cards include Draft Picks and Rookies, both sprinkled throughout the latter part of the set. Rookie Cards in this set include Derek Jeter, Jason Kendall and Shannon Stewart.
