Description

2000 Fanatics Talking StarCards is a ten-card set. Each card, which is made of a foam plastic, has a chip embedded inside. When the card is pushed in the designated position, the chip will broadcast a brief ten-second audio clip.

Each card was distributed on a a la carte basis on a blister card with an accompanying stand.

This product was produced by a company called "Telestar Interactive" of Cincinnati, which also made similar talking cards in 1998 and 1999, but went out of business by the end of 2000. This "Fanatics" is unrelated to the current owner of Topps -- which was founded in Jacksonville in 2011.

Distribution

One card plus standee. (MSRP: $4.99).
