Parallels

Artist Proof

Artist Proof is the lone parallel in '96 Select. A very minute Artist Proof logo is stamped in holographic foil on each cardfront.

Inserts

Team Nucleus

This 28-card set (one for each team) features the three best players on each of the 28 MLB teams. The cards are printed on acetate with holographic and micro-etched highlights and gold foil stamping.

En Fuego

This 25-card set is printed with all-foil Dufex technology, etched highlights and transparent inks that make each card shine. Spanish for "on fire," En Fuego is an expression popularized by ESPN sportscaster Dan Patrick, who appears on a card in this set.

Claim to Fame

This 20-card set features players whom Pinnacle Brands believed had the potential to make the Hall of Fame. The fronts are die-cut in the shape of a Hall of Fame plaque. The back of each card states that only 2100 copies of each card were produced, however, none of the cards are serial-numbered.

A Sammy Sosa Sample card was distributed to dealers and hobby media to preview the set.
