Description
1997 Scoreboard Mantle is a 75-card set dedicated to Mickey Mantle and commemorating some of the special events that occurred over the course of his career. Although licensed by Major League Baseball, each photo is monochrome (blue and white). Seven cards in the base set are die-cut (cards #1, 6, 7, 70, and 74). Cards #51-69 feature the same or similar photographs from his 1951-1969 Topps/Bowman cards. This product is also known as the "Shoe Box Collection."
Each pack contained one buyback Topps or Bowman card from 1951-1969.
Distribution
Sixteen packs per box, three cards per pack.
