Description
1996 SP is a 188 card set. The first 20 cards make up a "Premier Prospects" subset, while cards #21-#185 display unique player photos with an outer wood-grain border and inner thin platinum foil border as well as a small inset player shot.
Distribution
30 packs per box, eight cards per pack (MSRP: $4.19). Hobby only.

Holoview F/X
This 48-card set features a color action player cutout on a gold foil background with a "holoview" diamond shaped insert containing a black-and-white player portrait. A die-cut "red" parallel version was also produced.
NOTE: A 49th card of Alex Rodriguez was also produced, but was inserted into 1997 SP packs. This cards was only available as a die-cut red.
