Description

1951 Topps (officially known as Doubles Baseball Playing Cards) is a 104-card set released in two 52-card series -- known as the Red Backs and Blue Backs. Each card measured 2" X 2 5/8" and have rounded corners and were intended for use in a card game.

Each two-card pack came with a piece of caramel candy that, unfortunately, is known to leave stains on the cards.

Topps also released each series as a factory set. The cards were printed in two-card detachable "panels" and packaged in a rack-pack-like pouch. Each factory set also included three base cards and two Teams inserts from the Connie Mack All-Stars set.

Distribution

120 packs per box, two cards plus on piece of caramel per pack (MSRP: $0.01).
