Description

1979 Topps Comics is a 33-"card" set. A test issue, each 3" X 3 1/4" comic was printed on the same wax paper material Topps used on the Bazooka Joe comics of the era, and came folded with one chunk of "Major League Baseball Bubble Gum."

The product (both the gum and the comics) was not well received at the time and was discontinued after one year.

Distribution

Wax: 72 chunks of Major League Baseball with one comic per box (MSRP: $0.05).
