Description
1997 Pinnacle Series Two was a proposed card set that was scheduled for release in July of that year, but was cancelled. Many of the proposed inserts in that set were later issued in other 1997 Pinnacle Brands products. The only public acknowledgement Pinnacle Brands gave to this set was on an info card that was issued inside each sealed can of 1997 Pinnacle Inside.
The design of the base set was never revealed, and it is unknown if Series Two was to have used the same design of 1997 Pinnacle Series One, or the "new" format of 1997 New Pinnacle. According to the info card, the product was to have contained the following inserts.
- Artist's Proof parallel
- Spellbound (later used for 1997 New Pinnacle)
- Far and Away (later used for 1997 Pinnacle X-Press)
- Keeping the Pace (also used in 1997 New Pinnacle)
- Mirror Red Interleague Encounter (A non-Mirror Red insert called "Interleague Encounter" was issued in 1997 New Pinnacle)
