2004 Fleer Platinum is a 200-card set, and was released in February, 2004.  Like previous Platinum efforts, the base set evokes a classic Fleer Baseball set -- in this case, 1984 Fleer.  The set does feature 22 short-prints; however, Fleer decided NOT to short-print any of the 18 multi-player Prospects.
Like the [[2003 Fleer Platinum]] set, Hobby boxes contained a mix of pack types.  Each Hobby box contained 18, seven-card wax packs and four, 20-card jumbo packs.  Rack packs were issued separately in their own Hobby-exclusive boxes.  Each rack box had four, 30-card packs.
A typical Hobby box should yield two "hits:" one jersey card in the wax packs, and a "Nameplates" patch card from the jumbos.  Each rack pack has an "Inscribed" autograph.
Cards 136-143 were issued at a stated rate of 1:3 Hobby wax and 1:12 retail wax packs. Cards numbered 144-151 were seeded at the rate of one-per-jumbo pack, while 152 through 157 were issued exclusively in rack packs at a rate of one per.  According to Fleer the stated print run of the six rack-exclusive cards was 1000 cards each.

The set does feature 22 short-prints; however, Fleer decided NOT to short-print any of the 18 multi-player Prospects.

Like the 2003 Fleer Platinum set, Hobby boxes contained a mix of pack types.
