2001 Finest

Description

2001 Finest is a 140-card set released by Topps in the Spring of 2001. The last 30 cards in the base set make up a short-printed "Prospects" subset, with each card serial-numbered to only 999 copies. Ten "Standout Veterans" were also SPed and scattered throughout the base set. These ten cards are serial-numbered to 1999 copies.

Each 20-pack Hobby box and 10-pack HTA Jumbo box will yield an autograph. Curiously, while a rookie year autograph of Albert Pujols was produced for Finest, neither Pujols nor Ichiro were included in the base set, and as such neither have a "true" Finest rookie card.
