Description
1973 Topps Candy Lids is a 55 "card" test set. It consists of 55 portraits of baseball players printed on the bottom of candy lids -- which measure 1 7/8" in diameter. One lid was included in each pack of Topps' "Baseball Stars Bubble Gum" which consisted of a small tub of candy-coated gum kernels. The lids are unnumbered and each has a small "pull" tab.
It is believed that this set was mainly tested on the East Coast with some light testing in the Midwest.
Distribution
One Candy Lids per pack of Topps Baseball Stars bubble gum (MSRP: $0.10). 24 packs per box.
