Description
1969 Topps Super is a 66-card test issue. Despite the name, each full-bleed card has rounded corners and is slightly under-sized, measuring 2 1/4" X 3 1/4".
It is unclear how this set was distributed. Three-card cello packs are known to exist, and five-card wax packs (with a stick of gum) may have been issued. In addition, some collectors insist that Supers were inserted into 1969 Topps cellos. It is believed that both Super packs (wax and cello) and the 69 Topps cellos with Super inserts were distributed exclusively in the New York City area as a test issue.
