	Originally released in September 2009, Upper Deck's Goodwin Champions was in response to the immensely popular Topps Allen & Ginter's set, just as the original Goodwin & Company issued a card set in 1888 in response to the 1887 Allen & Ginter's set. 	The 2009 Goodwin Champions set includes ~~base cards numbered 1~~ - ~~150~~, a group of short ~~print cards numbered from~~ 151 - 190, and a grouping of ~~Super~~ short prints~~, numbered from~~ 191 - 210. There is a parallel mini set that excludes the numbers ~~151 - 210 from~~ the ~~normal-sized base set~~, but starts again beginning with number 211 and ~~extending to 252~~. It is unexplained as to why Upper Deck chose this rather confusing numbering system, possibly to create more exclusivity and variety. There is also an accompanying parallel mini-black-border set, in addition to a parallel, mini-foil set. The foil set, although not individually numbered, is understood to have only 88 copies of each mini-foil made. To further the insert/parallel set, there is also the inclusion of the "Magician" parallel set, a black-foil mini card, each hand numbered to only eight copies each. The Magician's set is confirmed to arrive at only 1 per case of Goodwin Champions.		The 2009 Goodwin Champions set includes a 150-card short set, a group of 40 short prints (#151-190), and a grouping of twenty super short prints (#191-210). There is a parallel mini set that excludes the numbers the SPs, but starts again beginning with number #211 and including 42 additional cards. It is unexplained as to why Upper Deck chose this rather confusing numbering system, possibly to create more exclusivity and variety. There is also an accompanying parallel mini-black-border set, in addition to a parallel, mini-foil set. The foil set, although not individually numbered, is understood to have only 88 copies of each mini-foil made.
