			The first 32 cards feature the 1988 American League All-Stars, while cards 33-64 are the National League All-Stars. The first nine cards in each subset consist of the starting lineups while the tenth card is the manager. Cards 30 and 62 feature each league's top All-Star vote getter, while card #31 is of the All-Star MVP. Card #63 is of the '88 All-Star Game's venue.

1989 Donruss All-Stars is a 64-card set. This would be the final year for the annual Donruss All-Star set, and as with previous iterations of this set, the design is very similar to the regular [[1989 Donruss]] set. The players chosen for the set are essentially the participants at the previous year's All-Star Game.

Each pack contained one "Pop-Up" insert and one Warren Spahn puzzle piece.
