The four cards (sequentially-numbered #PC4-PC6 plus an unnumbered a Hank Aaron puzzle card) are considered a separate set in their own right and are not typically included in a complete set of the regular issue 1986 Donruss cards. The three cards are sequentially-numbered as a continuation of the previous year's Box Bottom set~~. 			To commemorate Pete Rose breaking Ty Cobb all-time base hits record, Donruss commissioned this "King of Kings" card. Rose was in the inaugural Diamond Kings subset in 1982, and this marks the first time a player had appeared on a second Diamond Kings card, as at the time, Donruss never repeated players. Nolan Ryan would become the second King of Kings in 1990, while Dave Winfield was so honored in 1994.
