The 1980-81 Donruss Test is a three-card promo set distributed as part of a test to see how collectors liked the original design for the forthcoming [[1981 Donruss]] set. (They mustn't have liked it, as the 1981 Donruss set is different.) These were issued either separately or as part of a three card "strip." The first two cards are of Reggie Jackson and George Brett, with the third "card" a blank template. The backs of each card are blank. <br />

Somewhere between 400 and 500 copies of each card, in both single and strip form, were produced. It is unclear exactly when these cards were produced; but it is believed sometime in December 1980/January 1981. <br />
