1979 Penn Emblem Patches is a 100-player embroidered patch set. Each player's patch could be ordered directly from Penn Emblem for $2.50/each plus shipping. Each patch is 2 5/8" X 3 1/4" and has rounded corners.

This set was not licensed by MLB Properties, and as such do not feature team logos.

There appears to be three different variations of Pete Rose's patch. One with a red border, one with a blue border, and a third with a black border. The red and blue bordered patches depict Rose in a pinstriped Phillies uniform, while the black patch still has him in a Cincinnati Reds shirt. By far, the most common is the red bordered patch.
