Tuff Stuff's Sports Collectors Monthly: A long-running multi-sport Hobby magazine and price guide.

Launched in April 1984 by Richmond-based Hobby store owner Ernie White, who named the magazine for his ability to offer the "tough stuff," Tuff Stuff was originally an 11 1/4" X 15 1/2" newsprint publication. It grew to a tabloid-sized, glossy-covered magazine in the late 1980s before shrinking back to standard magazine size (8" X 10 7/8") with a glossy cover in 1990. A sister magazine geared towards young children called Tuff Stuff Jr. was briefly published in the early 90s.

The magazine was eventually sold to Landmark Communications, the publishers of the Virginia Pilot and owners of The Weather Channel. Landmark sold the magazine to Krause Publications in 1999, publisher of the competing Sports Cards magazine. The two magazines' content merged in 2000, taking its current name. The magazine is currently owned by F+W Publications, after that company obtained Krause in 2002.

While under the ownership of Landmark, Tuff Stuff promoted an annual card show in Richmond, VA.
