National, The: (NSCC) The National Sports Collectors Convention, an annual card show that has grown from a small hotel ballroom card show to the premiere card show/trade show/mega-event it is today. First staged in 1980, The National rotates venues on a yearly basis.

The National may have reached its apex in 1991, when 100,000 collectors attended the 12th National in Anaheim, California. By comparison, the 1999 National in Atlanta drew a crowd of only 25,000; however, the 2014 edition was the third most attended event (43,200) in the 35-year history of The National.

The 41st annual National Sports Collectors Convention is scheduled to take place from July 28 to August 1, 2021 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
