[[2004 Topps Traded & Rookies]] is a 220-card set released in October, 2004. Cards numbered T1-T65 feature players who changed teams during the 2004 season, while cards numbered T66-T70 feature managers who took over teams after the basic set was issued.  Cards T71-T90 were players selected in the 2004 MLB First Year Player Draft, T91-T110 are Prospects, and cards T111-T220 Rookies. The design is from the 2016 Topps flagship set, but with different photographs.  Each card has a New Era logo on the reverse side and is sequentially-numbered with a "New Era" prefix -- the only things differentiating these cards from the flagship set.

Each 11-card wax pack contained two Chrome parallel cards.

Most of these packs "snuck out the backdoor" and were widely available on eBay within days after the promotion's start.

An additional card (#T221) of Barry Bonds was distributed by Topps directly to hobby shop accounts enrolled in the Home Team Advantage program in early January, 2005.
