Description

2022 Topps Sapphire Chrome was released exclusively to topps.com on December 2nd, with members of the 582 Montgomery Club allowed to purchase up to three boxes a day earlier. Each box will contain one Sapphire Refractor parallel. Unlike the previous year's product there are not autographs.

We believe that production is equivalent to that of the previous year's product.

Distribution

Eight packs per box (MSRP: $250), four cards per pack. Exclusive to topps.com

Checklist

Base Set

The base set is rehash of the 2022 Topps Baseball base set. Repeating the checklist would be pointless. It should be noted that cards #67 and #72 were replaced with Julio Rodriguez and Bobby Witt, Jr., respectively.

We estimate that 1100 copies of each base card were produced.

Parallels

All 660 base cards are available in the following parallels.

  • Gold Sapphire Refractor (serial-numbered to 50 copies)
  • Orange Sapphire Refractor (serial-numbered to 25 copies)
  • Purple Sapphire Refractor (serial-numbered to ten)
  • Red Sapphire Refractor (serial-numbered to five)

Padparadscha Refractors/SuperFractors

Padparadscha Refractors are a one-of-one partial-parallel. Topps did not release a checklist; however, it is believed that the 225 players who appear in both 2022 Topps and 2022 Topps Chrome have Padparadscha Refractors. The remaining cards are all available as SuperFractors, which are also ones-of-one.
