2010 Donruss Elite Extra Edition

Description

2010 Donruss Elite Extra Edition was released on October 6, 2010. This draft pick and prospect-themed product was Panini's final college baseball offering before their agreement with the Collegiate Licensing Corporation (CLC) expires. Upper Deck took over the CLC license on October 1st, and released their first CLC-licensed product a week later.

The base set consists of 200 cards, the last 100 autographed prospects. 33 players signed their autographs on-card, the rest on stickers. Other insert sets include College Ties Autographs, Collegiate Patches and Private Signings autographs.

Also included in the base set will be a card of actress and former Playboy Playmate of the Year Pamela Anderson. Anderson is a Pepperdine University baseball season ticket holder and un-official "Team Mom." Anderson has agreed to autograph 35 copies of her card.

Each 20-pack Hobby box should yield six autographs, one Elite Series and one School Colors inserts. In addition, every fifth box (four per 20-box case) is a "Hot Box" which will include 10 autographs.

This set is NOT licensed by Major League Baseball or the MLBPA and will not feature any active Major League players; however, a number of retired players and Hall of Famers have signed autographs for random inclusion.
