Description

2002 Upper Deck Ovation is a 180 card set issued in two separate brands. The basic Ovation product, containing cards 1-120, was released in June, 2002. These cards feature veteran stars from cards 1-60, rookie stars from 61-89 (of which have a stated print run of 2002 serial numbered copies) and then five cards each of the six Upper Deck spokesmen from 90-119. The first series set concludes with a card with a stated print run of 2002 serial numbered sets featuring the six Upper Deck spokesmen.

Cards 121-180 were distributed within retail-only packs of 2002 Upper Deck Rookie Debut in mid-December 2002. Cards 121-150 were seeded at an approximate rate of one per pack and feature traded players and young prospects. Cards 151-180 continue the World Premiere rookie subset with each card being serial-numbered to 2002 copies. Though the manufacturer did not release odds on these market research indicates an approximate seeding ratio of 1:8 packs.
