Description

From 1990 to 1993 Topps produced a card of that year's Golden Spikes Award winner -- which is presented by USA Baseball to America's best amateur player. Topps was a sponsor of USA Baseball at the time. The card was distributed at attendees of USA Baseball's annual Golden Spikes presentation ceremony. The front of each card is done in the style of the following year's Topps Baseball flagship set (i.e. 1990 winner Alex Fernandez's card looked like a 1991 Topps) with the back containing information on the awards ceremony.

Even though these cards celebrate the 1990-93 Golden Spikes winners, we classify them as 1991-94 cards based on their design.

Distribution

One card to attendees of USA Baseball's 1990-1993 awards luncheon.
