Description
1983 O-Pee-Chee is a 396-card set. As with most OPC sets of the era, it is an abridgement of the 1983 Topps set, with a higher ratio of cards of players from the two Canadian teams. (The Blue Jays and Expos are the only two teams with Manager and Team Leader cards.) The set contains virtually the same pictures for the players also featured in the 1983 Topps issue, but with French text on the back and an O-Pee-Chee logo appears on the front of every card.
Because it was produced later than Topps, some players that changed teams in the off-season are denoted on their OPC card.
The set features Rookie Cards of Tony Gwynn and Ryne Sandberg, but NOT Wade Boggs.
Due to their printing process, like most OPC cards from this era, finding well-centered cards can be difficult.

36 packs per box, nine cards plus one stick of gum per pack (MSRP: C$0.25)
